On June 13, 2024, the Rector of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli, participated in the opening of the Third Annual Conference on the topic “Trends and Challenges in the Development of Contemporary Society,” organized by the University “Kadri Zeka” in Gjilan. The conference proceedings were initially declared open by the Vice-Rector for Science of this university, Prof. Dr. Arbona Xhemajli. In the following also spoke, the Rector of the University “Kadri Zeka,” Prof. Dr. Artan Dërmaku, Academician Fejzullah Krasniqi, and UT Rector Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli.
In his speech, the Rector of UT, Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli, said that history recognizes the University of Tetova as being seasoned in facing challenges and overcoming them, never ceasing its commitment and efforts to preserve and develop educational, scientific, and national values, and raising the level of cooperation with institutions of higher education from the country, the region, and the world. “Advanced technological systems, cultural diversity and tolerance, economic equality, protection of people’s freedoms and rights, living environment and increased attention to climate change, as well as many other issues, are some of the most serious challenges facing society. To achieve these goals of social development, it is necessary for societies to use sound policies and practices based on knowledge and strive to solve the challenges and problems that present themselves on their way to progress,” said Rector Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli.
At the end of his speech, Rector Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli emphasized that the University of Tetova is oriented towards European and Western values and is always committed to approaching the standards applied in the progressive world.
