With the bitter news of the separation from the life of the patriot, Albanian activist Adem Demaçi, let me on behalf of the University of Tetova express my brotherly condolences to the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo, the Presidency, the Government, the Assembly, the Academy of Sciences and Arts, the University of Prishtina, the educational and scientific institutions for which Uncle Adem was sacrificed to selflessness, to the honorable Demaçi family, associates, friends and compatriots.
Adem Demaçi, the humanist and architect of universal democratic ideas, will be remembered by the entire nation for the sublime sacrifices for the Albanian education, culture and science, will eternally remain in our collective memory as a symbol of superhuman sacrifice under the communist persecution, the visionary intellectual and the noble citizen, who all his life and activity put in the service of great ideals of our national cause.
As a patriot of the highest rank, he will remain a rare and extraordinary personality with high moral and human virtues. His historical role and significance has been eternalized in the newest history of the Albanian people.
His work and monumental authority have in its foundations the love for homeland and national unity, readiness to sacrifice, and titanic struggle for freedom.
May the memory of the symbol of national resistance, the Honor of Nation – Adem Demaçi be eternal.
