The University of Prishtina today has marked the 55th anniversary of its founding. At this solemn ceremony, alongside prominent figures from the Republic of Kosovo and the region also participated the Rector of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli. During the ceremony, where the past and future of this institution were remembered, Rector Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli extended his congratulations to the leadership of the University of Prishtina on this jubilee anniversary of its educational and scientific activities.
Wishing many more successful anniversaries, the Rector of the UT highlighted the special assistance and contribution, the long-standing fruitful cooperation, support through the educational staff, the exchange of experiences, and the brotherly support for higher education in the Albanian language, science, and national culture, as well as for achieving the objectives of the University of Tetova.
Among other things, he stated that since the day of its foundation until today, the University of Prishtina has become a symbol of resilience, a temple that for more than half a century has kept alive the national inspiration for freedom, democracy, and independence.
Meanwhile, in his speech before the participants, the Rector of the UP, Prof. Dr. Arben Hajrullahu, emphasized that the University of Prishtina has been built on the dedication and cooperation of all those who believed in the power of knowledge and added that the goal and mission of the University of Prishtina is to transmit knowledge and inspire social changes for a better future.
The 55th anniversary of the founding of UP was also welcomed by the President of the Kosovo Academy of Sciences and Arts, Mehmet Kraja, who described this university as the history of Kosovo, the history of its ideals for freedom, dignity and state subjectivity.
During the ceremony marking the 55th anniversary of the UP, professors and well-known personalities who have contributed to this institution were honored with certificates of appreciation.
