The First Student Conference with the topic ” Student’s Research Challenges in Globalization” started today at the University of Tetova. This conference is organized by the Student Parliament of the University of Tetova and marks an important moment in the academic journey of our students, creating a platform where their ideas, experiences, and challenges can be shared and discussed. This event is an important step towards promoting scientific research and the active involvement of students in global challenges.
The Rector of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli, expressed that the leadership of the University, together with the students, shapes the future, and according to him, from now on, the students will be the ones who will lead every strategy and development program of the University, while the leadership will only be there to support them. “You are the highest level of awareness, vision, and our future. With great pride and honor, we will stand by every proposal and every step you take. Once, I too was at your time and age, and I had the fortune and responsibility of being the president of the Student Parliament, as it was called back then, the Union of Students, and I highly appreciate the sacrifice, the work you do, but at the same time, the cooperation you have with us. The future is still in your hands”, -said the Rector of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli.
The Vice-Rector for Science of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Vullnet Ameti, in his speech addressed to the students and other participants in the hall, emphasized that this scientific event should serve as a precedent for an event initiated, designed, managed, and processed entirely by the students themselves, as our most vital pillar, and towards whom we have a national responsibility and beyond.
“I am happy and, above all, proud of the fact that our students approach science with passion and dedication, a commitment that shows extraordinary intellectual courage. This courage reminds me of a story I recently read in Stephen Hawking’s ‘best-seller’ book, The Theory of Everything, a story that illustrates the power of scientific research and the courage of the human mind to challenge the boundaries of our knowledge, which I will share now. In this context, the speed of change and the extent of globalization strongly influence the way we see and experience reality. Science has been and continues to be the main driver of human progress, and its essence lies in the uncompromising use of human reason and rational conclusions, based on evidence, not belief, dogma, or tradition. Allow me to say that each one of you, engaged in this event, is a star that lights up the horizon of the future, a microcosm that carries the power to transform the macrocosm of humanity. You, dear students, are the generation that challenges the known, rises above the fear of the unknown, and refuses to be limited by the frameworks of tradition or dogma. In this long journey of science, where every question mark is a window to knowledge and every hypothesis is a step toward progress, you are the driving force that builds bridges between today and tomorrow”, – emphasized the Vice-Rector for Science, Prof. Dr. Vullnet Ameti.
The President of the Student Parliament and coordinator of this conference, Ladon Murseli, said that this is an important moment to share knowledge, create opportunities for international cooperation, and stimulate cultural exchange between higher education institutions. “This conference is an expression of the University of Tetova’s commitment to being a dignified part of the global community of knowledge and innovation. It reflects our joint efforts to contribute to the development of science and education. Young people are the ones who will shape the future of our society. The future cannot be built without cooperation and the exchange of ideas. Participation in this conference will create great opportunities to learn from each other and contribute to the development of science and innovation. As the Student Parliament, we will continue to be the voice of students’ demands and aspirations, supporting and encouraging the advancement of scientific work and efforts to improve learning conditions”, – said, among other things, the President of the Student Parliament and coordinator of the conference, Ladon Murseli.
Later, student Kudret Ferizi spoke on the topic: “The importance and role of the University of Tetova for Albanians in Macedonia (1994-2004),” and Lavdrim Velii presented the topic: “Satisfaction with profession selection during the professional determination phase and current perception of the profession among students and graduates of the University of Tetova”.
The conference proceedings will continue tomorrow.
