Students from various academic units of the University of Tetova, from March 23 to 31, 2025, accompanied by the Head of the Office of Legal Affairs, Msc. Florian Nesimi, carried out a study visit to Vienna as part of the YDDAP program (Youth Digital Democracy Accelerator Programme), organized by the International Association of Youth and Students for Peace (IAYSP).
As part of this program, students Olti Esati, Rrezearta Samiu, Fjolla Jahiu, Amra Zendeli, and Gert Salihi visited key institutions in Austria, such as the Austrian Parliament, the United Nations headquarters, and the Austrian Red Cross. During these visits, the students were introduced to the organization and functioning of these institutions, the Austrian electoral system, the history and operation of international institutions, and the working methods of the Red Cross.
During this study stay, students from the University of Tetova gained new knowledge about democracy and how young people should be more engaged in various public life activities. An important part of this one-week stay was also gaining new experiences in creating and distributing digital campaigns on social media.
In addition to the University of Tetova, the aforementioned program included young people and students from Kosovo, Moldova, Romania, and Austria.
