At the Faculty of Philology of the University of Tetova, was organized a workshop with high school graduates on the topic: “The Albanian language and literature in today’s challenges”.
Initially, the Dean of the Faculty of Philology, Prof. Dr. Emine Shabani, emphasized that such activities are very important for bringing high school graduates closer to university life and for guiding them toward philological studies. She stated that, through these activities, the aim is to encourage a love for the Albanian language and literature, as well as to motivate young people to choose philological studies as an important path for their academic and professional development.
During this activity, the high school graduateshad the opportunity to attend lectures by researchers and professors in the field of linguistics and literature, who addressed current topics related to the development and challenges of the Albanian language and culture in contemporary times.
Within the framework of this workshop, Asst. Prof. Dr. Bora Logu delivered a lecture titled “Teaching Albanian in the present day”, in which were addressed contemporary approaches to teaching the Albanian language and the challenges encountered in the educational process.
Prof. Dr. Klodeta Dibra lectured on the topic “Albanian in the relation of foreign languages”, highlighting the importance of preserving and developing the Albanian language in an increasingly globalized reality and in constant interaction with other languages.
Additionally, Assist. Prof. Dr. Ermira Ymeraj presented a lecture titled “Literature and the contemporary reader”, where the relationship between literature and the contemporary reader was discussed, as well as the importance of cultivating a reading culture among young people. This workshop was carried out as part of the promotional activities of the University of Tetova for high school graduates.
