On February 27, 2023, the Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo in North Macedonia, His Excellency Florian Qehaja, visited the University of Tetova, accompanied by diplomat Prindon Sadriu. They were received at the meeting by the leaders of our University, Rector Prof. Dr. Kushtrim Ahmeti, President of the Senate Prof. Dr. Vullnet Ameti, Vice-Rector for International Relations Prof. Dr. Shefik Shehu and other associates.

The creation of new opportunities for cooperation with the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo and in particular with public and private universities was one of the topics discussed at this meeting. Rector Prof. Dr. Kushtrim Ahmeti informed Ambassador Qehaja that in the meetings he had with university rectors from the Republic of Kosovo, he asked from them that, in addition to cooperation in various educational-scientific projects, it is necessary to implement a joint project for mobility within Albanian universities. According to him, the implementation of this project would help our universities not only at the national level but also at the international level.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo, His Excellency Florian Qehaja said that the role of the University of Tetova is historic and everyone knows this, because today after 28 years when you see all this development you understand what relevance it has had and continues to have this university for Albanians. He also showed interest in the collaborations that the University of Tetova has with universities from the Republic of Kosovo, whether they are public or private, the possibilities of how these can be strengthened and new collaborations can be created. He was also informed about the students of Kosovo who study at our University and the opportunities that can be offered to them in order not to face with administrative difficulties.

At the end of this meeting, Rector Prof. Dr. Kushtrim Ahmeti bestowed to Ambassador Florian Qehaja the portrait of the founder and the First Rector, Prof. Dr. Fadil Sulejmani and the Monograph of the University of Tetova (1994-2004).
