At the initiative of the University Election Commission, a joint meeting was held today with the candidates for rector of the University of Tetova for the mandate 2026–2029. The meeting took place in a constructive and academic atmosphere, aimed at ensuring a democratic, transparent, and dignified electoral process.
The President of the University Election Commission, Prof. Dr. Metin Izeti, expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the candidates: Prof. Dr. Fehari Ramadani, Prof. Dr. Kushtrim Ahmeti, and Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli, for the willingness and academic culture they demonstrated during the meeting, which he described as an important step toward a fair competition with university-level standards.
During the meeting, the candidates were informed about the schedule of electoral activities, with special emphasis on the deadlines and the organization of the presentation of their program platforms in front of the academic staff, namely the voting members of the University of Tetova.
The members of the University Election Commission, as well as the University’s Secretary General, Mr. Adem Beadini, described this meeting as an important moment for strengthening the spirit of cooperation and democratic culture within the institution, ahead of the rector elections to be held on June 4, 2026.
Meanwhile, the candidates for rector emphasized the need for the election campaign to focus primarily on presenting their visions and program platforms, aimed at the further development of the University of Tetova as the most important higher education institution in the Albanian language in the Republic of North Macedonia.
They also highlighted their many years of experience and previous leadership roles, stressing their readiness to put this experience into function for the advancement of the University of Tetova as a modern institution, on par with other contemporary universities.
In the coming days, the official presentations of the program platforms in front of the academic staff of the faculties of the University of Tetova are also expected to take place.
