The Faculty of Pedagogy of the University of Tetova concluded the activities of the Special Study Week 2025. This event was organized in cooperation with the Macedonian Civic EducationCenter. As part of this week, today at the University Square, students presented their projects. This now traditional activity aims to encourage students’ creativity, collaboration, and professional development through practical activities, scientific presentations, and various workshops. In attendance at this event were the Rector of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli; the President of the Senate, Prof. Dr. Kenan Ferati; the Vice-Rector for Science, Prof. Dr. Vullnet Ameti; the Vice-Rector for Finance, Prof. Dr. Aida Yzeiri-Baftijari; the Vice-Rector for International Relations, Prof. Dr. Salajdin Salihi; the Director of the Macedonian Civic Education Center, Mr. Besnik Ramadani; and Mr. Metin Muaremi, a trainer in project management.

The Dean of the Faculty of Pedagogy, Prof. Dr. Lulzim Mehmedi, who is also the organizer of this event, emphasized that the Special Study Week 2025 is an alternative way of carrying out studies — that is, learning through projects. This year’s theme for the Special Study Week was “From idea to success: Effective Project Management”. “For two days, students were trained on how to start writing a project — from the initial idea to the final report — covering all the stages in between. Then, for two more days, under the mentorship of professors from the Faculty of Pedagogy, they worked on their projects. Today, we presented those projects and saw the creativity of our students come to light. We had nine projects, nine groups of students who worked diligently, and each project has its own value, its own specific goals, and an exceptional amount of effort and dedication from our students, who today demonstrated their true qualities and showed that we really do have excellent students. We must make use of this potential and keep pace with the changes of the times and the challenges we face as a society. The projects have been quite diverse — they addressed the development of socio-emotional skills, career orientation, the detection of children with special needs, prevention before treatment begins, as well as projects aimed at solving issues such as stray dogs, and initiatives to improve student nutrition through the opening of a canteen where students themselves would be self-employed, engaged in this work, and have spaces to sit, study, and socialize with one another within the premises of the University of Tetova, since we have the necessary capacities for that”,- said the Dean of the Faculty of Pedagogy, Prof. Dr. Lulzim Mehmedi.

At the conclusion of this event, were announced the three best projects. First place was awarded to the group of students with the project “Digital Safety and Ethics”. Second place went to the students who created the project for the student space “The University of Tetova Canteen – UT”, and third place was awarded to the group of students who prepared the project “The Pedagogical Reflection Zone”.
