Within the Faculty of Philosophy, the study programs: Sociology and Social Work and Social Protection organized a workshop with graduates of the high school “Kiril Pejčinović” and “7 Marsi” in Tetovo, on the topic: “The role of sociologists and social workers in schools and other institutions such as profession of the future”. First, the head of the Sociology study program, Prof. Dr. Ardita Abduli – Reka, who on behalf of the general staff expressed gratitude for the mutual cooperation. Naser Rushani, a sociology teacher from the “7 Marsi” high school, presented a brief overview of sociology as a profession, the teaching of sociology and its scientific importance in the future.

Meanwhile, Afrona Mashkulli, sociologist at the “Penestia” school in Dibër as a trainer, discussed the role and importance of the sociologist in the school, as a professional service.

From the University of Tetova as a trainer, Mr. Sc Ismail Ismaili, lecturer in the study program: Social work and social protection, discussed the role and importance of the work of a social worker in institutions.

Then the tasks and activities with the graduates began, respectively a discussion and brainstorming were held on some social phenomena considered as current problems of society and how solutions can be found for them. In this case, gratitude also goes to the students and collaborators of the two study programs who were always ready for the course of the activity. In the end, the dean of the Faculty of Philosophy, Prof. Dr. Ibish Kadriu distributed certificates to the organizers of the workshop.
