The Rector of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli, met with the Executive Director of the organization “Open Gov Hub Al.”

At the invitation of Mr. Edision Frangu, the Executive Director of “Open Gov Hub Al,” the Rector of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli, paid a visit to the organization’s offices in Tirana (Albania).

During the meeting, Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli first thanked Mr. Frangu for the invitation and then presented an overview of the development of the university he leads, including its objectives, priorities, and the challenges faced by this educational institution. “One of our advantages in fulfilling the mission of an academic structure, such as a university, is the cooperation with civil society organizations, forming partnerships with these organizations, and combining forces with them. Civil society organizations also align at certain times with the objectives of the university to be beneficial to society,” said Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli.

Meanwhile, the Executive Director of the organization “Open Gov Hub Al,” Mr. Edision Frangu, thanked the Rector for the visit and expressed readiness to collaborate on joint projects. The organization “Open Gov Hub Al” is part of an international network based in the USA, which promotes the creation of an open society by fostering opportunities and increasing interaction between different sectors and organizations. It serves as a bridge to establish the necessary cooperation to address the global challenges of our time, particularly those related to good and open governance. During the meeting, the idea of signing a memorandum of cooperation between the organization and the University of Tetova was proposed, and it was agreed that this would be formalized in the very near future. Executive Director Frangu provided an overview of the organization’s projects, which operate throughout the Balkans. The Rector of the University of Tetova, who was accompanied during the visit by Prof. Ass. Dr. Zylyftar Bregu, a professor at the University of Tirana and also a lecturer at the University of Tetova, presented Mr. Frangu with several books published by the University of Tetova. The delegation also toured the premises of the center.

During his official visit to Tirana, the Rector of the University of Tetova met with several prominent figures in the field of higher education. The University of Tetova’s collaboration with international actors, including academic institutions and civil society organizations, has seen significant growth in recent times.
