Today, the Rector of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli, welcomed Professor James Pettifer, the renowned British historian and commentator, to his office. The focus of the meeting was the continuation of the collaboration between UT and this internationally renowned figure and specialist in Balkan issues. Rector Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli expressed his gratitude for the essential contribution Professor Pettifer has made, both in the field of internationally influential publications, assistance, and expertise in resolving conflicts in the region, as well as in delivering lectures and meetings with students at the University of Tetova.
Professor James Pettifer confirmed his willingness to continue collaboration with our institution, which, according to him, has already aligned itself with prestigious universities.
During today’s meeting, the need and importance of translating James Pettifer’s works into the Albanian language were emphasized, as they constitute highly important literature for understanding historical facts and publications on topics reflecting political developments in the Western Balkans.
