After the official opening of the exhibition by the renowned professor and painter Miftar Memeti, the students of the Faculty of Arts at the University of Tetova, study program in Figurative Art, carried out a study visit on October 29, 2025, to the premises of the “Bezisten” Art Gallery in Šhtip.
During this visit, Professor Miftar Memeti himself was present and held an open discussion with the students, sharing valuable experiences from his artistic and academic career. He spoke about the creative process, the importance of originality, exploration, and passion in contemporary art.
The students were accompanied by the Vice-Dean for Education, Professor of Art History, Jëlldëz Asani, and Drawing Professor Drenusha Palloshi. They were warmly welcomed by the gallery’s director and the exhibition curator, who presented the concept and organizational approach of the exhibition.
In the gallery’s exhibition spaces, were displayed works from various artistic cycles and techniques, drawings with precise and characteristic strokes, as well as oil paintings on canvas created with a wide color palette that testify to the author’s mastery and unique vision. Particularly striking were two monumental portraits of Mother Teresa, which preserve the artist’s recognizable signature through conceptual forms and the postmodern spirit that characterizes his creativity.
Overall, Professor Miftar Memeti’s works reflect the freshness of Impressionism, the free movement of colors, and a sense of space, giving his art a communicative dimension where the audience itself becomes part of the creative process.
The students expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to meet an artist of such academic and national stature, whose example and experience inspire younger generations to pursue the path of art with dedication.
This visit was valued as a meaningful and inspiring practical experience that strengthens the connection between university education and the artistic life of our country.
