Students of the study program of Biology of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics of the University of Tetova, on November 14 and 15, 2024, participated in the two-day Regional Conference on Sustainable Use of Natural Resources in the Shar, Korab Koritnik, and Albanian Alps regions.

In this conference that was held in Mavrovo, there were over 100 participants from the civil sector, local businesses, experts and representatives of institutions from North Macedonia, Albania and Kosovo.

This important event was organized by CNVP North Macedonia with financial support from PONT. The aforementioned conference was dedicated to the sustainable advancement of tourism and the protection of biodiversity in Sharr, Korab-Koritnik, and the Albanian Alps.

Our students, guided by professors: Asst. Prof. Dr. Besnik Rexhepi, Prof. Dr. Mije Reçi, Asst. Prof. Dr. Sheval Memishi, Asst. Prof. Dr. Lulzana Shabani, and MSc. Ajtene Rushiti, engaged in discussions on the topic during the two-day conference, they also had the opportunity to listen to scientific presentations from biodiversity experts, as well as success stories from local businesses and civil society organizations from the country and the region.
