“The three – arched bridge” has now become a national platform for students and professors from three Albanian public universities: the Faculty of Arts at the University of Tetova, the University of Arts in Tirana, and the Faculty of Arts at the University of Prishtina. It serves as a space to present a selection of their artistic creations from this academic year and to exchange their artistic and academic experiences from this journey.

At the conclusion of this rich cultural event, which was held this year at the premises of the University of Tetova, with a packed two-day agenda that included the signing of a cooperation agreement between the University of Tetova and the University of Arts in Tirana, the visual arts exhibition, a musical concert, theater performances, and short films, we share a deep sense of gratitude, inspiration, and collaboration in creating, sharing, and experiencing the beauty that art brings to our lives.

The activity calendar of this event began with the signing of a cooperation agreement between the University of Tetova and the University of Arts in Tirana. The signing ceremony was attended by: Prof. Dr. Vullnet Ameti, Vice-Rector for Science, Prof. Dr. Salajdin Salihi, Vice-Rector for International Relations, Prof. Dr. Aida Yzeiri – Baftjari, Vice-Rector for Finance, Professor, Senad Abduli, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Doc. Dr. Hatibe Deari – Zeqiri, Head of the Office for International Relations, Prof. Dr. Arian Paço, Vice-Rector for International Relations at the University of Arts, Tirana, and Professor, Agron Bytyqi from the Faculty of Arts at the University of Prishtina.

The ceremony continued with the speech of the Vice-Dean for Science of the Faculty of Arts at the University of Tetova, Professor, Nora Halimi, who is also responsible for the organization of the activities of this event. After greeting the attendees, she emphasized the importance of this project, which not only promotes inter-university cooperation but also strengthens the cultural and identity bonds among Albanians in the region, giving young generations the opportunity to express their talent, get to know each other, and contribute to the development of Albanian art and culture.

Since the event is held every year in a rotating format between Tirana, Prishtina, and Tetovo, and this year the host was the Faculty of Arts at the University of Tetova, the Vice-Dean first invited the Dean of this faculty, Professor, Senad Abduli, to give a welcoming speech.

The Dean expressed his pleasure that the University of Tetova is hosting the 15th edition of this traditional event, which has become a lasting symbol of our cultural and academic unity. He emphasized that today, through art, we build bridges that connect not only cities and institutions but also the hearts of young people who believe in the power of creativity and our shared culture.

The next welcoming speech was given by the Vice-Rector of the University of Arts in Tirana, Prof. Arian Paço, and Prof. Agron Bytyqi from the Faculty of Arts at the University of Prishtina, who read the speech of the Dean of this faculty, Prof. Hazir Haziri.

Both representatives of the respective institutions emphasized that national and international borders are surpassed only through cultural dialogue and the free expression of art.

The opening of this event began with the visual arts exhibition, which presented us with unique artistic visions, inviting us to see the world through the eyes of the creators. Afterwards, the present audience enjoyed a concert with musical performances by students from all three institutions, and the first day was concluded with a theater performance by the students of the Drama and Audiovisual Arts study program of the University of Tetova.

The second day of this event began with the screening of short films by students from all three universities, followed by a theater performance by students from the Faculty of Scenic Arts at the University of Arts in Tirana. It ended with a presentation by the renowned professor and painter Gazmend Leka from the University of Arts in Tirana, on the topic: Albanian Ballads and Legends: Approaches to the mythical thinking of other peoples, at the Europe House in Tetova. This event once again demonstrated that art and culture are bridges that connect people, bridges that promote art and culture in all their forms.
