Today, at the University of Tetova, scholarships for students and postdoctoral research funded by the U.S. Embassy were presented. The Dean of the Faculty of Law at the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Safet Emruli, stated that the support of students and academic staff with scholarships from the U.S. Embassy is the most special event. “This collaboration is worth of supporting; the opportunity to study at U.S. universities is something that every member of the academic staff and students should aspire to. This opportunity is provided to us through the U.S. Embassy, and students and professors show considerable interest to get these scholarships. So far, dozens of professors from the Faculty of Law have pursued postdoctoral studies in various programs at U.S. universities, and there are also many students and professors from other faculties of our University,” emphasized Prof. Dr. Safet Emruli.
The presentation of the scholarships for students and professors was made by the Education Program Specialist at the U.S. Embassy in Skopje, Mr. Gazmend Iljazi. He said that there is a very large number of scholarships that are allocated and lately there has been an increase in opportunities for studies in the USA through various programs such as the Fullbright program. “This year, as you are informed, we also have a new agreement with the Ministry of Education and Science, and we hope that the number of scholarships will be even greater compared to previous years. Additionally, we made presentations for students who wish to pursue undergraduate studies, various professional studies in the U.S., and other opportunities that students might be interested in applying for. The fact that there is a continuous presentation of these programs shows that it is successful. We can confidently say that up to now, we have not had any student who has studied in the U.S. through our programs and remained in the U.S., nor any student who studied there and is unemployed. Almost 100 percent of the cases show that all are well-placed due to the skills and knowledge they acquire at U.S. universities,” said Mr. Gazmend Iljazi.
“The universities that are offered through the programs provided by the U.S. Embassy are among the best in the U.S., and the study programs meet all criteria, ensuring a high level of scientific and educational standards. The interest from students and professors in this presentation was considerable.”
