Within the framework of cooperation and scientific training that the Aurora network has with Palacky University of Olomouc (UP), Vrije University of Amsterdam (VU), Rovira i Virgili University (URV), and the University of Tetovo, the Vice-Rector for Science of the University of Tetovo, Prof. Dr. Agon Memeti accompanied by the Head of the Office for Research – Scientific and Applied Activities, Mr. Sc. Artan Osmani, on April 17, 2024, welcomed the delegation of the “Aurora” network to a working meeting consisting of professors, Prof. Dr. Selma Porobic, Dr. Oleksandr Khyzhniak, and Mr. Niels Hexspoor. During this meeting, possibilities for deepening bilateral cooperation between the two institutions were discussed, through conferences, workshops, congresses, symposiums, staff exchanges, resource utilization, opportunities for various trainings, in respective areas and fields that align with the requirements of both institutions, as well as the impact of the “Aurora” network programs in North Macedonia and the Balkan region in general, as well as the dissemination of research and innovation results of the “Aurora” network.
The aim of these events is twofold: to strengthen the capacity of Aurora’s partner universities for academic excellence and social significance, and to support them in establishing regional centers for exchanging best practices emerging from the experiences of the Aurora network.
Meanwhile, on the second day, April 18, 2024, within the framework of the ongoing Aurora Alliance 2030 program, the first training for the second phase of the Capacity Development Program (CDP) was held, organized by the team engaged by Aurora, Palacky University (UP), Vrije University of Amsterdam (VU), Rovira i Virgili University (URV), and the University of Tetovo.
The hybrid training event focused on developing and implementing collaborative teaching using international online collaboration practices and guidelines. After completing the seminar, participants are able to understand, develop, and implement an online learning project (COIL) and incorporate culturally conscious approaches into the learning environment (also online).
This event is part of a series of training sessions organized within the framework of the Aurora Alliance 2030 program. The aim of these events is twofold: to strengthen the capacity of Aurora network partner universities for academic excellence and social significance, and to support them in establishing regional centers for exchanging best practices emerging from the experiences of the Aurora Alliance and the broader CDP network.
This event was open to the academic and administrative staff of the University of Tetovo and Aurora Associate partners, as well as the universities in the CDP network constituting the regional centers of the Aurora partner universities.
