University Student Assembly of the University of Tetova today marked World Health Day. Through the organization of several activities, under the motto “Together for Health”, students from the Faculty of Medical Sciences organized blood pressure and blood sugar level measurements for the citizens of Tetovo, distributed educational materials, and provided information on health care.

The awareness-raising event was also attended by the Rector of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli, the President of the Senate, Prof. Dr. Kenan Ferati, the Dean of the Faculty of Medical Sciences, Prof. Dr. Nevzat Elezi, the Vice-Dean for Science of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Arbëresha Ferati Bexheti, as well as the President of the University Student Assembly (UT), Leart Ibrahimi.

They emphasized the need to organize activities of this nature, which serve to raise public awareness for the prevention and timely treatment of health problems. The organizers called attention to the fact that preventive measures help reduce the risk of chronic diseases, such as heart disease, diabetes, and cancer. According to them, special attention should also be given to regular check-ups and examinations in order to detect health problems as early as possible, since in such cases treatment is also easier.

World Health Day is an annual event aimed at increasing awareness of global health issues and promoting initiatives to improve health outcomes for everyone.
