A high delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia led by His Excellency Dr. Awad Al-Anazi Undersecretary of Islamic Affairs Ministry, Call and Guidance, of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, accompanied by the President of the Islamic Religious Community in the Republic of North Macedonia, Reisul-Ulema H. Hfz. Shaqir ef. Fetai and associates visited the University of Tetova. On this occasion, the Arab delegation was received by the Rector of the University of Tetova Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli and his close associates.
Initially, Rector Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli welcomed them to the University of Tetova and briefly presented the history of our university since its foundation, including the journey through the years, until today. The Rector, among other things, emphasized that this year our university marks the jubilee year of its 30th anniversary and during these years it has played a key role in various national processes, but at the same time it has also contributed to the preparation of professional staff who are still contributing to social, political, diplomatic, social, economic life, etc. Among other things, Rector Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli, in this meeting, paid special attention to the international cooperation that our university has already established with renowned universities from the country, the region, Europe and the United States of America, as well as expressing his readiness that in the future this cooperation it also extends to universities from Saudi Arabia. During this meeting, were discussed many other topics related to the development of education and science in general, while with particular emphasis the study programs of the Arabic Language and Literature as well as the Oriental Studies at the Department Faculty of Philosophy.
Undersecretary of Islamic Affairs Ministry, His Excellency, Dr. Awad Al-Anazi in his personal name and in the name of the delegation he led, thanked the Rector Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli and his associates, for the warm and fraternal reception as well as for the time allocated to honor the delegation he leads. He expressed his wish that the successes of the University of Tetova will continue to be a window of knowledge and professional preparation for students and for the new generations. He also emphasized that the Islamic world in general attaches special importance to knowledge, since even in the famous Koran it is said: “Are those who know equal to those who do not know?… Among other things, he said that in the memorandum of cooperation that they have signed with the Islamic Religious Community, there is a special article that foresees cooperation in the field of scientific research, and at the same time he expressed his readiness that in the future this point be concretized with a concrete cooperation agreement between University of Tetova and universities from Saudi Arabia. Meanwhile, the President of the Islamic Religious Community of RNM, Reisul-Ulema H. Hfz. Shaqir ef. Fetai sincerely thanked Rector Zejneli, first for the hospitality and then for the cooperation and contribution during the joint journey between IRC and the University of Tetova. He said that this cooperation since the foundation of UT has been fruitful, while we feel its success even today, all together. According to him, the University of Tetova continues to be the most sensitive part of the Albanian population of these territories because it is the only institution from which movements have started and various national processes have been led.
At the end of this meeting, the Rector of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli bestowed some symbolic gifts to the guests and at the same time accepted some presents from the delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
