University of Tetova and Sam Houston State University from Texas, USA, on December 18, 2024, signed a memorandum aimed at strengthening academic and scientific cooperation between the two institutions.

This memorandum aims to foster mutual understanding and development in the fields of education and scientific research. The parties agreed to engage in a series of joint activities, including: research projects and pilot projects; exchange of research staff and teachers; student exchanges; organization of seminars, conferences, and joint activities; and exchange of scientific publications and materials for educational and research purposes. The memorandum also foresees other forms of cooperation, such as: short-term visits by academic staff for consultations, lectures, and project planning; long-term visits of research and technical staff for training and participation in research projects; student exchanges for practical training and participation in international programs; and promotion of contacts with distinguished scientists from international academic centers.

In today’s meeting for the signing of the cooperation memorandum, the University of Tetova was represented by: Rector, Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli, accompanied by the Head of the Office for International Relations, Asst. Prof. Dr. Hatibe Deari Zeqiri, while Sam Houston State University was represented by: Dr. Sharmistha Self – Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration, Dr. Natalie Hegwood – Associate Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration, and General David Glaser, Head of the Strategy Office of the Faculty of Business Administration.

This cooperation is expected to bring numerous benefits to both universities and to promote the development of education and scientific research at the international level.
