University of Tetova, represented by the Rector Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli, Vice-Rector for Finance Prof. Dr. Aida Baftjari Yzeiri, and the Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Professor, Senad Abduli, today in Skopje participated in the ceremony of signing the memorandum of cooperation between the Agency for Innovation Activity, Scientific and Technological Development and Entrepreneurship (INOVA) and the public universities in our country.
At this ceremony, which was also attended by the Head of the Government of North Macedonia, it was stated that the role of the Ministry of Education and Science, as well as that of the universities, is of particular importance in building a system that will enable the development of qualified personnel capable of responding to contemporary challenges.
The memorandum was signed by the Rector of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli, and the Director of the Agency, Daniella Dimovska, marking an important step toward strengthening cooperation between higher education and the innovation and economic development sector.
This cooperation aims to contribute to the development of the country’s innovation ecosystem through support for startups and small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as by increasing the competitiveness of businesses.
Within the framework of the memorandum of cooperation, the institutions will engage in: the development of programs to support startups and accelerators; the promotion of scientific research and its application in industry; the digitalization and technological transformation of businesses; the organization of educational activities and professional training; as well as joint participation in international projects and programs funded by the European Union.
The signed memorandum is considered an important step in strengthening the link between universities and support mechanisms for innovation and entrepreneurship, creating new opportunities for students, businesses, and the country’s economic development.
