Rector of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli, accompanied by his collaborators, today hosted a delegation from the Faculty of Law of the “Aristotle” University of Thessaloniki, with the aim of establishing academic cooperation between the two institutions. The Greek delegation consisted of Prof. Dr. Panagiotis Glavinis – Dean of the Faculty of Law, Prof. Dr. Angelos Kornilakis – Professor of Civil Law, Aris Tachinozlis – Coordinator of the Congress, and Alexandar Bondiek – Secretary of the Master’s Program in English, European Business and Economic Law. The official reception was also attended by the Vice-Rector for International Relations, Prof. Dr. Salajdin Salihi, the Vice-Dean for Science at the Faculty of Law, Prof. Dr. Njomza Selimi – Osmani, the Head of the Office for International Relations, Asst. Prof. Dr. Hatibe Deari – Zeqiri, as well as Mrs. Valmisa Novi, Head of the Rector’s Cabinet.
During this meeting, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Faculty of Law of the “Aristotle” University and the Faculty of Law of the University of Tetova, aiming to deepen cooperation in various academic and research fields, with a focus on bringing North Macedonia closer to the European Union and harmonizing the national legislation with the legal framework of the acquis communautaire.
“According to the agreement, the Center for European Legal Culture of the ‘Aristotle’ University will serve as the main mechanism for implementing joint activities. Additionally, every year, one scholarship will be offered in the form of exemption from tuition fees for a graduate of the UT, who will have the opportunity to pursue a Master’s degree in the English-language LLM program in European Business and Economic Law, provided that after completing the studies, they contribute to the country’s integration process.
Through this agreement, UT aims to strengthen its academic and research capacities, promote student mobility, and contribute to the country’s integration processes towards the European Union.
