Rector of the University of Tetova Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli together with the Chairman of the Senate Prof. Dr. Vullnet Ameti, Vice-Rector for Education Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Neziri, deans, professors, students and other collaborators, participated in marking the Islamic New Year – Hijri 1446, which was organized by the Rijaset of the Islamic Religious Community of the Republic of North Macedonia, under the leadership of Reisul ul Ulema H. Hfz. Shaqir ef. Fetai.
This manifestation began with the beautiful verses of the Holy Quran read by Hfz. Idriz Osmani and after that the Director for Culture and Science in the Islamic Religious Community Musanif ef. Rufati opened this event.
Later, the President of the Islamic Religious Community of the Republic of North Macedonia, Reisul ul Ulema H. Hfz. Shaqir ef. Fetai delivered the central speech where he spoke about the importance of this manifestation and made a retrospective of all the events that took place at that time, among other things he emphasized that the Hijri as an event, marked the new history of humanity, which led to the establishment of society: justice, meritocracy, tolerance, understanding, protection of human values and many other dimensions.
In this manifestation, the Islamic Religious Community of the RNM for the University of Tetova awarded the highest prize “Mufti Vehbi Dibra”, a title which embodies the privilege and responsibility towards the Great God and society. This award, Reisul ul Ulema H. Hfz. Shaqir ef. Fetahi handed over to the Rector of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli.
After receiving the award, the Rector of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli thanked the leaders of RIC for this honor they did to the University of Tetova. He said that this award is dedicated to all the intellectuals of that time, headed by the founder and the first historical Rector, Prof. Dr. Fadil Sulejmani and the martyr of Albanian education Abdylselam Emini, as well as all those who contributed and contribute to the growth and development of this university, as it is a dedication to all professors and other employees and all those generations of students whose career they have built their professional and academic career at the University of Tetova. He further added that in the future the University of Tetova will continue to dedicate itself to the development of education and science in our country and that it will always maintain cooperation with local and international institutions in order to preserve and cultivate our common national religious values.
By marking the Islamic New Year Hijri 1446, the Islamic Religious Community of RNM proves that it understands Hijri as a return to itself, to raise the awareness of every believer for a healthy development in the presentation of major Islamic values. This manifestation was also enriched with an artistic program, where the choir of the Islamic Religious Community of RNM performed under the leadership of Dr. Abas Jahja and Hfz. Sabaatin Nuhiju. Then religious songs were performed by Hfz. Egzon Ibrahimi, Nderim Alimi and a performance by actor Arsim Fazlija.
The demonstration ended with the distribution of diplomas to the hafiz who have completed the hivz of the Quran.
