The University of Tetova today signed a contract with the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Economy of North Macedonia, aimed at increasing and strengthening laboratory capacities. The agreement was signed by Minister Cvetan Tripunovski and the Rector of UT, Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli. Also present at the meeting were Deputy Minister Flakron Bexheti, the Dean of the Faculty of Food Technology and Nutrition, Prof. Dr. Xhezahir Idrizi, as well as Prof. Dr. Ismail Ferati, Head of the Food Products Control Laboratory and coordinator of this project.

On this occasion, the support for laboratory equipment for the University of Tetova will amount to 12,000,000 denars. The Faculty of Food Technology and Nutrition will now have modern equipment for the analysis of heavy metals and other inorganic substances in all agricultural and food products, which are essential for achieving the objectives of the Ministry of Agriculture.

The laboratories will also serve in the future for research and analysis for all public and private institutions in this sector, and they will be a great benefit for students in both cycles.

This laboratory is accredited and certified according to international standards.
