At the University of Tetova today was held a commemorative meeting on the life and work of Prof. Dr. Vullnet Palloshi. Many family members, friends, colleagues, professors, and students reminded for the last time his life and activity over the years.
On behalf of the University of Tetova and the Rector, Prof. Dr. Vullnet Ameti, the participants at this commemorative meeting were addressed by the Dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences of the University of Tetova, Prof. dr. Dr. Nderim Zeqiri. In his word he said that Prof. Dr. Vullnet Palloshi has consistently provided valuable contribution to our University and the Faculty of Applied Sciences, especially to the study program Roads and infrastructure. “His contribution extends beyond our University, because often has been part of various conferences and debates in other countries, in which he conducted professional evaluations, recommendations and also has been part of infrastructure and road projects, has published various articles, books, etc. As a professor he was always constructive, by giving guidance and recommendations” – said Prof. Dr. Nderim Zeqiri.
For the life and work of Prof. Dr. Vullnet Palloshi spoke his friend and colleague Prof. Dr. Abdyl Koleci. He said that the activity of Professor Vullnet Palloshi is vast, rich and very bright in the field of engineering, education and culture. “He will be remembered with respect for his hard work in many important events. But in these moments, when we share our pain, in the range of his life and work, we commemorate his major works in the field of engineering both within the Republic of Macedonia and in the Republic of Kosovo and beyond, which he and his colleagues established, grew and developed them in important institutions” – said Prof. Dr. Abdyl Koleci.
On behalf of Palloshi family to the participants with occasion speech addressed his daughter, Vesa Palloshi – Buklla, who said that Professor Vullnet Palloshi in congresses and conferences, both local and international, always proudly exalted the name of University of Tetova. “ I’m honored to have the opportunity to speak on behalf of Palloshi family to share with you the most intimate feelings that a child may have for his parent in the most difficult moments when he is no longer in our midst. My father, Prof. Dr. Vullnet Palloshi, as a professor who lectured at this institution of higher education in Albanian language, gave the necessary support from the very first moments of founding of this institution, was so proud so that until the last moments he insisted to be close to his students in order to maximally convey his knowledge and professional experience and that the students at any time feel his presence even though he is no longer among us” – said Vesa Palloshi – Buklla.
Prof. Dr. Vullnet Palloshi was born on October 9, 1950. He is one of the first Albanian engineers in the field of road infrastructure in Macedonia, Kosovo and Albania and has made an extraordinary contribution in this field, by leaving great deeds behind him. Since 2006 he has worked as a professor at the Faculty of Applied Sciences of the University of Tetova. Prof. Dr. Vullnet Palloshi passed away on June 18, 2018.
