University of Tetova was a participant in the Third and Final Annual Forum of the Inspireurope+ project, organized by the European Universities Association (EUA), which took place last week with over 200 participants from Europe and beyond in Paris.
This important forum marks the completion of a multi-year project funded by the European Union, which aims to support academics at risk, displaced from their countries due to political crises, wars, or persecution for their academic beliefs.
During the forum, the Director of the Center for Peace, MSc. Donika Kamberi, was an active participant in the discussions and the fourth roundtable organized by EUA, with a focus on supporting international researchers at risk, where, among other things she presented concrete recommendations for addressing this issue.
In his welcoming speech at the forum, the French Minister of Education, Mr. Philippe Baptiste, emphasized that: “Europe has an important role to play in welcoming scholars in exile”. This message was also reinforced by discussions on initiatives such as #MSCA4Ukraine and the #saferesearchers program, which are evidence of the need for and support for academics at risk.
Her participation in this forum is a testament to the University of Tetova’s commitment to the protection of academic freedom, solidarity, and transcultural communication.
