University of Tetova, namely the Faculty of Physical Education, on July 4, 2024, on the occasion of the 248th anniversary of the Independence of the United States, organized the traditional beach volleyball tournament.
The Dean of this academic unit, Prof. Dr. Shpresa Memishi, in the capacity of the organizer, emphasized that, through this sports activity, students, academic staff and other employees of the university, mark the holiday of the Independence of the US, as a sign of respect and gratitude for their contribution in all processes that have accompanied our nation over the years.
Meanwhile, the Rector of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli, stated that our university always takes care to organize events of this nature, especially when it concerns our main ally, the United States of America. He congratulated the Faculty of Physical Eduaction, the Student Parliament of the UT, and the American Corner in Tetovo for marking July 4 as an annual holiday in the University of Tetova holiday calendar. He emphasized that this event continues to cultivate the partnership and alliance with the US and the American people. He also added that this event, in addition to commemorating the anniversary, involves young people, particularly our students, in various sports activities as a form of education and public engagement for internationally significant events like July 4, the Independence Day of the United States.
At the end of the tournament, leaders from the University of Tetova and representatives from the American Corner in Tetovo bestowed medals, trophies for third place, second place, and first place, as well as certificates to the players participating in this traditional tournament.
