In an atmosphere filled with a love for words and books, the Department of Albanian Language and Literature of the Faculty of Philology at the University of Tetova organized a training titled: “Words are your strength, prepare to use them masterfully”, dedicated to high school graduates.

This event took place on a special date, April 23rd, which is internationally recognized as World Book Day, highlighting the importance of reading, the power of writing, and the cultural richness carried by language.

The training was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Philology, Prof. Dr. Berton Sulejmani, who greeted the attendees and emphasized the importance of language and literature in shaping the individual and preserving national identity: “You are at a moment of transition, closing a four-year chapter filled with efforts, experiences, lessons, and dreams. Now, a new door opens before you, a new cycle of knowledge, maturity, and decisions that will shape your future”.

Speaking about the role of this training, he added:

“This training is part of our institutional commitment. We do not simply welcome new students as numbers on a registration list; we open our doors with dedication and care, so that their entry into the university is not just a formality, but a true beginning towards knowledge, maturity, and their development as free minds”.

Afterward, Prof. Dr. Vjollcë Berisha delivered a detailed lecture on the core content of the state maturity exam in the subject of Albanian language and literature, sharing knowledge about the most representative authors of Albanian and world literature, as well as the grammatical and orthographic rules of our language.

Afterward, MA. Kaltrina Sadiki lectured on how to write a quality essay, offering practical advice on structuring thoughts, clarity of position, and using language in an argumentative and attractive manner.

In a sign a recognition of the work and dedication of Albanian language teachers in high schools, the Dean of the Faculty of Philology, Prof. Dr. Berton Sulejmani, awarded certificates of appreciation to the professors who have taught this subject during the four years of schooling for the high school graduates.
