The University of Tetova considers successful the teaching process realized during the pandemic.
The University of Tetova, despite the circumstances created by the global pandemic COVID-19, has consistently adhered to the recommendations of the Commission for Infectious Diseases in our country, for keeping the distance.
So far, in all academic units have been successfully realized 39,500 online teaching hours, in the first and second cycle, with 223,000 active participants (students) in all classes during the summer semester, while in practical and laboratory subjects the classes were organized through physical participation.
Despite the fact that the University of Tetova made all the preparations for holding exams with physical participation, as a result of the deteriorating situation in the country, numerous restrictions on the free movement of students from the country and the region, currently, from June 8, the holding of exams from distance is successfully being held in all subjects, except for subjects with practical content, which are realized with physical presence. Holding exams at the Faculty of Medical Sciences is not realized, because the nature of the subjects and the work in the hospital makes the exams difficult.
The University of Tetova has taken all necessary measures, preparing concrete instructions and training for students and teachers, regarding the implementation of online testing, with an adequate and practical platform and maintains intensive contact with students and teachers who need technical support.
The online exam platform provides support for all subjects and according to the nature of the exams. Despite the skepticism of online assessment in our country, the concern of the unknown, this form of testing is a new experience and in line with other prestigious universities, creating new work habits, raising a higher professional academic level, meanwhile, despite the fact that the system provides assessment control with all the mechanisms available to teachers, online testing is at the same time an examination of the conscience and ethical system of moral values in the academic world. Many academic achievements are filtered on the basis of professional conscience, so we judge that students and teachers show a high level of commitment and sincerity to this form of testing, where the final evaluation will certainly include other learning activities in the respective subjects.
The University of Tetova highly appreciates the commitment of students and teachers for the successful work done throughout the pandemic situation, hoping for the situation to return back to normal as soon as possible. Since the introduction of the state of emergency in the Republic of North Macedonia, the implementation of the teaching process at our University is considered successful throughout the pandemic situation.
