A delegation of the Turkish International Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) for Macedonia, led by Mr. Halim Ömer Söğüt (January 21, 2021), visited the University of Tetova. The delegation, at the UT, was received by the Rector, Prof. Dr. Vullnet Ameti, and discussed about the current collaborations as well as the possibilities for intensification of this cooperation in the future.
The Rector, on behalf of the academic staff and students, expressed gratitude and appreciation for the support that this institution has given in recent years, in particular in improving working conditions and scientific infrastructure and also confirmed the readiness for the concretization of ideas and projects with research character in the fields, which are covered by various study programs, which are and will remain part of the academic units of the University in the future.
The coordinator Halim Ömer Söğüt, also expressed his satisfaction with the opportunity to get acquainted with the University of Tetova, as well as stressed the commitment to support other initiatives that are in the service of the wider community in RNM.
He conveyed the positive attitudes of higher education institutions in the Republic of Turkey for the current cooperation with the University of Tetova, emphasizing that they remain open to deepen them in various fields.
At the end of the meeting, Rector Prof. Dr. Vullnet Ameti, as a sign of gratitude and thanks for the fruitful cooperation, to the coordinator Halim Ömer Söğüt, bestowed the portrait of the portrait of the first Rector of the UT, Prof. Dr. Fadil Sulejmani, that symbolizes the glorious history of our institution, from the first days of its foundation as well as its successful journey to the establishment as an internationally respected university that is part of many regional and European initiatives.
