VC “University of Tetova” in the men’s category won the second place within the cup of North Macedonia. Our team was defeated in the final by Strumica with a result 3 – 1 in sets (March 28, 2021), even though it was ahead after the first set. In the semifinals our team defeated Shkëndija with a result 3 – 0 in sets (March 26, 2021).
Rector of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Vullnet Ameti, in a joint meeting congratulated the volleyball players for this achievement, emphasizing that this achievement is a success of the University itself, with the hope that next year we will be even better prepared to crown the success with winning the cup. He said that volleyball is a team sport and only if we are united we can achieve our goals. We hope that the pandemic to pass as soon as possible, and to return back to the normality, as well as the fans to return back, because they are the reason to motivate the team.
Despite the loss, our volleyball players are still motivated and believe that the race for the title in the league of North Macedonia is still open and with the joining of forces the chances are real that we will be declared champions. Everyone believes in the title, leaving behind the loss of the final, as a lesson from the past.
For the achieved success, the team was congratulated by the Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education, Prof. Dr. Haki Ismaili, who said that who stressed that volleyball players have done an excellent job so far and only to continue at this pace, as they are on the right track.
