On behalf of the University of Tetova, I send my most sincere congratulations to all Albanians on the occasion of the 112th anniversary of the Alphabet Day – Congress of Manastir.
The Congress of Manastir is undoubtedly one of the greatest historical and cultural events of the last century for the entire Albanian people that have been referred and are constantly refer Albanian and foreign intellectuals, historians, linguists, ethnologists.
The decisions of the congress, which were the culmination of the efforts of many generations of our Albanian speakers, were welcomed by the Albanian cultural circles inside and outside the country and were immediately implemented.
The Congress of Manastir was of great importance not only for the alphabet and the national literary language, for education and culture, but also for the Albanian National Movement in general.
The definition of the Albanian nation for the Latin alphabet was of extraordinary importance. Such a determination was natural. This clearly proved that Albanians are a European people – an integral part of Western civilization
Today, we bow with reverence to all the actors of this great historical event and with dignity we honor the Albanian Alphabet Day on its 112th anniversary in a row.
Happy anniversary of Albanian letters, happy holidays of November….
