Within the framework of the project “Digital Safety and Ethics” of the Faculty of Pedagogy of the University of Tetova, supported by the Macedonian Civic Education Center (MCEC) – Skopje, training sessions were held on 13.05.2026 and 14.05.2026 with first-year students from all study programs of the Faculty of Pedagogy on the topics “Digital Safety” and “Digital Ethics”. The activities were carried out as part of the implementation of the project under the leadership of Asst. Prof. Dr. Agron Iljazi, the project coordinator.
The training on Digital Safety, held on 13.05.2026, was conducted by Prof. Dr. Florim Idrizi, professor at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, who addressed important issues related to online security, data protection, awareness of internet risks, and forms of safe behavior in the digital environment.
Meanwhile, the training on Digital Ethics, held on 14.05.2026, was conducted by Prof. Dr. Kushtrim Ahmeti, professor at the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Tetova, who addressed with the student’s topics related to ethics in online communication, responsibility in the use of technology, challenges posed by new media, forms of cyberbullying, hate speech, and the importance of digital education in preventing inappropriate behavior in the online environment.
The training sessions were held at the premises of the Faculty of Pedagogy of the University of Tetova in an interactive format, including lectures, discussions, workshops, and group work, with active participation from the students throughout both days. Through this engagement, students had the opportunity to broaden their knowledge and reflect on the importance of the safe, ethical, and responsible use of technology in academic and everyday life.
These activities represent the continuation of the implementation of the project “Digital Safety and Ethics”, which aims to promote a culture of safe, ethical, and responsible use of technology among pupils and students.
