The marking of April 15 as World Art Day is an event of special importance for the Faculty of Arts of the University of Tetova. Through an organized workshop, a space for interaction was created between students and young people who are in the process of choosing their professional orientation.
This date is symbolically linked to the figure of Leonardo da Vinci, the renowned painter of the Italian Renaissance, and is celebrated worldwide. Therefore, the organization of workshops and promotional activities by the Faculty of Arts serves as an effective mechanism for promoting study programs in dramatic, music, and visual arts, as well as for the concrete demonstration of students’ artistic achievements and development.
These activities are not only informative in nature but also educational, as they enable high school graduates to gain a direct understanding of the process of artistic education. Regarding the importance of this day and the organization of the student workshop, the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs at the Faculty of Arts, Prof. Dr. Jëlldëz Asani, spoke. She emphasized that the main goal of this activity is multifaceted: to encourage young people to pursue and cultivate their artistic talent as an important form of individual expression; to raise awareness of the role of art as a key factor in cultural and social development; and to help them understand that artistic education is not only a professional choice but also a journey that requires dedication, discipline, and passion. In this way, the Faculty of Arts positions itself not only as an educational institution but also as a center that promotes aesthetic, creative, and civic values among younger generations
Creative workshops have a direct impact on the development of young talents, especially high school graduates who are at the stage of making decisions about their future studies in the field of art. Through a diverse program, which included theatrical performances, short films, photography workshops, interpretations of classical music on violin and viola, as well as performances by students of painting, sculpture, ceramics, graphic design, and acting, the graduates were not only better informed about their professional opportunities but were also inspired to see art as an important part of culture and identity.
Meanwhile, the Dean of the Faculty of Arts at the University of Tetova, Professor, Senad Abduli, emphasized that the faculty has the privilege of developing artistic disciplines with a highly qualified academic staff and extensive professional experience. According to him, this staff has played an important role in the formation of generations of artists, from which well-known actors, directors, and artists have emerged who are engaged in important cultural institutions. This success demonstrates the quality of the artistic education offered by the faculty and its continuous contribution to the development of cultural and artistic life in the country and beyond.
