Dear friends,

On the occasion of the 114th anniversary of the Congress of Bitola, on behalf of the University of Tetova, I have the honor to wish you this historic date, which represents one of the most important events of our population, in which the alphabet of the Albanian language was unified.

From 14 to 22 November 1908, the Congress of Bitola was convened to examine important issues of the National Movement, primarily to resolve the issue of the alphabet of the Albanian language, the unification of which had become a sharp political problem, educational and cultural, as an urgent request of the National Movement.

The decisions of the Congress, which were the initiation of the efforts of many generations of Albanians, for rapprochement and unity, were welcomed by the Albanian cultural circles inside and outside the country and were immediately implemented.

We bow with the greatest respect to all the participants of this great historical event and we honor with dignity  the day of the Albanian Alphabet on its 114th anniversary.

Happy anniversary of Albanian letters! Happy November holidays!
