On June 13, 2025, at 14:00, in the Amphitheater “Sevasti and Parashqevi Qiriazi” of the UT, Mr. Joseph J. DioGuardi and Mrs. Shirley Cloyes DioGuardi will be honored with the title of Doctor Honoris Causa.
This is not just another event for the University of Tetova – it is a day that will remain marked in the exceptional relationship between the first university in the Albanian language in North Macedonia (UT) and the most representative American authorities.
The University of Tetova was founded with a clear pro-Western vocation and was supported by individuals who affirm and embody these values.
Joseph DioGuardi and Mrs. Shirley Cloyes DioGuardi, along with the founder and the first historic Rector of UT, Prof. Dr. Fadil Sulejmani, were among those who best understood the fundamental role of democracy. Therefore, they chose the path for its achievement – through education, science, and culture.
