Rector of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli and the Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, Prof. Dr. Salajdin Salihi received the Rector of the International Balkan University (IBU), Prof. Dr. Lutfi Sunar, who was accompanied by Vice-Rectors Prof. Dr. Snezana Bilic and Prof. Dr. Mevludin Ibish.

The purpose of the meeting was to familiarize with the activities of both institutions of higher education for possible cooperation in the future. The discussions focused on the potential of knowledge exchange and the organization of joint educational, scientific, and cultural projects. In particular, it was discussed about the possibilities to sign a memorandum, which includes collaborations in the field of doctoral programs, such as Erasmus+, the organization of congresses, symposiums, and the inclusion of staff in journals with an impact factor. In this regard, the two rectors of the institutions agreed to take concrete initiatives to consolidate the ties between the universities and to achieve the common goals towards development, knowledge, and innovation.
