To the participants with occasion speech addressed the Albanian Nobel Prize winner Prof. Dr. Ferid Murad. He said that there should never be interrupted research and scientific research, because at the end of the work will result in something successful. He said that there should never be stopped the scientific research, because in the end the work will result in something successful. “When I finished college, I started on a project at Cleveland University, in a combined study program. I started a research project with my mentor in the Department of
Pharmacology, a metabolic formula to promote liver glucose digestion. The project lasted 7 years in the department of pharmacology and biology, influencing the formation of this intercellular messenger. In my time this type of research was not very popular, but I realized it was very important. It was a high-risk and very interesting research. From this research I found a nitric oxide messenger, with the application of which many drugs were produced for all kinds of diseases. These research projects resulted in over 150,000 authentic researches in medicine and biology. This chemical element can also be used in cardiovascular diseases. When I started with my research many people thought that it was not important what I was doing, but it turned out to be something very important and I wish the same happens to you” – said the Nobel Prize winner Prof. Dr. Ferid Murad.
Rector of the University of Tetova Prof. Dr. Vullnet Ameti, to the Nobel Prize winner Prof. Dr. Ferid Murad as a token of gratitude of his honor for the University of Tetova and his contribution in the field of medicine as well as the exaltation of the Albanian name in the world arena bestowed the portrait of the First Historical Rector of UT, Prof. Dr. Fadil Sulejmani. In sign of gratitude for the contribution given to the University of Tetova, the Rector, Prof. Dr. Vullnet Ameti a gift with the same portrait bestowed to Bruno Ceka, Chairman of the Albanian Community in Texas.
Rector of the University of Tetova Prof. Dr. Vullnet Ameti, on the occasion of organizing of these parallel conferences congratulated the heads of faculties for the realization and implementation of such scientific projects, which according to him intensify the communication between researchers, academic communities and that only in this way will be built the common values of our society. “As a Rector of the University of Tetova and as a lecturer I appreciate your efforts for the development of scientific values and together with you I share the same conviction that culture, education and scientific research increasingly approach us with civilization and the civilized world. Education plays a key role in the preservation and development of these qualities, therefore we the leaders of this University, together with the academic units, centers and respective offices, are committed to be at the height of our duty, the sacred mission of education, upbringing, and emancipation of generations and the development of our country. Today, the countries of the region and the Western countries, through consolidated institutions, universities, make a special contribution to the strengthening of cooperation and integration between them. By appreciating the universities as precious treasures, loving and honoring them, we will jointly fulfill our objectives. Our approach to scientific research is very serious, thus giving priority to comprehensive studies as the most powerful tool, we consider that we have taken considerable steps in advancing of knowledge, economic development and social integration. Today’s conferences, prior conferences and those to be organized in the future represent scientific values, and the participants, researchers from the region and the world who support the research quality represent a great opportunity to create a forum of scientists in the field of certain sciences” – said the Rector, Prof. Dr. Vullnet Ameti.
Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics of the UT, Prof. Dr. Fauzi Skenderi said that the 2nd Scientific Conference of the Faculty that he leads will be attended by all study programs with 89 papers, and will be conducted in seven separate sessions in relevant fields such as Biology, Informatics, Chemistry, Ecology, Geography, Mathematics and Physics. “This conference is a great opportunity to strengthen mutual cooperation in the scientific research of the researchers of our faculty and those from the region and beyond, as well as cooperation between science and business. The aim of the conference is comprehensive, starting from encouraging and supporting researchers to cooperate with each other, to the incitement of the students for more interest and dedication to gain new knowledge and deal with the challenges of nature sciences” – said Prof. Dr. Fauzi Skenderi.
While the Dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences of UT Prof. Dr. Nderim Zeqiri stated that the organization of fourth International Conference represents a better opportunity in terms of raising the cooperation at university level. “The conference enables all researchers to present their views on various scientific issues. The aim of the conference is to create bridges of communication and presentation of different thoughts, through articles, thus addressing topics that currently affect the science in general and technical contexts in particular. The placement system of comparative potentials, different arguments, is the driving force for finding new models, and all this to apply in different fields with a linking character with different profiles” – said Prof. Dr. Nderim Zeqiri.
In these conferences were also promoted issues 3 and 4 of the International Scientific Journal of the Faculty of Natural Science and Mathematics and issues 5 and 6 of the International Scientific Journal of the Faculty of Applied Sciences JAS SUT (Journal of Applied Sciences – SUT).
The ceremony of the solemn opening of conferences was concluded with the professional lecture of Vice-Dean for Science of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, Assistant Professor Arianit Reka titled: “Use of hydrothermal technologies for production of porous ceramics”.
