In his capacity as a member of the European Association of Science Editors (EASE), Prof. Dr. Faton Shabani presented his research titled “Artificial Intelligence in the Peer Review Process: Between Benefits and Difficulties” at the webinar themed “Peer Review in the Age of Artificial Intelligence: The Macedonian Perspective and Global Responsibilities”, organized by EASE on September 25, 2025.

In recent times, artificial intelligence has become a highly challenging tool in the peer review process of scientific contributions, bringing with it ongoing benefits and difficulties. According to the findings presented by Prof. Dr. Faton Shabani in this research, the use of artificial intelligence by the academic and scientific community must be approached with increased caution and must necessarily be accompanied by human oversight.
