With the majority of votes from the academic staff of 13 faculties, Prof. Dr. Kushtrim Ahmeti has been elected Rector of the University of Tetova for the three-year term 2026–2029.

After accepting the voting results for the election of the Rector, submitted by the electoral committees of the academic units, the University Election Commission verified and compiled the results for all units of the University of Tetova.

A total of 355 members of the teaching-scientific councils of the faculties were eligible to vote. In the voting process, 343 voters participated, representing 96.62%.

Candidate Prof. Dr. Kushtrim Ahmeti received 197 votes, candidate Prof. Dr. Fehari Ramadani received 119 votes, while candidate Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli received 22 votes.

In accordance with the procedures defined for the election of the Rector, the candidates were evaluated according to the system of points obtained.

The final results according to this system are as follows:

Prof. Dr. Kushtrim Ahmeti, full professor at the Faculty of Philosophy, obtained a total of 1627.677 points;

Prof. Dr. Fehari Ramadani, full professor at the Faculty of Philosophy, obtained a total of 843.915 points;

Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli, full professor at the Faculty of Law, obtained a total of 128.408 points.

In accordance with Article 106, paragraph 9, of the Statute of the University of Tetova, for the three-year term 2026–2029, Prof. Dr. Kushtrim Ahmeti, full professor at the Faculty of Philosophy, has been elected Rector of the University of Tetova, having achieved the highest number of points in this electoral process.
