The main purpose of the meeting was to explore opportunities for mutual cooperation in the fields of scientific research, technology, and innovation.
Director Dimovska informed the leadership of the University of Tetova about the procedures, public calls, and specific projects being prepared by the government through the Agency. Meanwhile, the representatives of the University of Tetova confirmed that the institution possesses the full academic and professional capacities required to respond to these calls with competitive projects.
The focus of the cooperation is expected to include: the modernization of laboratories (with specific discussions on financial support and technological equipment assistance for the laboratories of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics and the Faculty of Applied Sciences), with equipment that will be fully available for use by students and professors; international funding opportunities and the coordination of efforts to apply for major projects financed by the European Union and other international donors; as well as cooperation with academic staff, namely the engagement of professors and researchers from the University of Tetova as experts in projects that connect science with the real needs of local businesses.
Following the conclusion of the meeting, Daniela Dimovska visited the laboratories of the Faculty of Applied Sciences, where she was introduced to the research infrastructure, technological equipment, and practical projects currently being developed by students and academic staff. This visit served to identify the areas in which corresponding investments are expected to be made by the Innovation Agency “Inova”.
