Rector of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli, accompanied by the President of the Senate, Prof. Dr. Kenan Ferati, and the Dean of the Faculty of Medical Sciences, Prof. Dr. Nevzat Elezi, received in a meeting the President of the Pan-Albanian College of Surgeons, Mr. Rifat Latifi, together with his team.
On this occasion, Rector Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli congratulated Mr. Rifat Latifi on the establishment of the Pan-Albanian College of Surgeons, emphasizing the importance of this initiative for the professional and scientific unification of Albanian surgeons in Albania, Kosovo, North Macedonia, and the diaspora. He highlighted the readiness of the University of Tetova to contribute to the development of the College through the academic and scientific capacities of the Faculty of Medical Sciences, expressing full willingness to further strengthen academic and professional cooperation, with the aim of advancing scientific research and the development of surgery in the Albanian-speaking regions.
President of the Pan-Albanian College of Surgeons, Prof. Dr. Rifat Latifi, emphasized that the College will have separate representatives in Kosovo, Albania, North Macedonia, and the diaspora, adding that in the coming days, the other governing bodies of this professional structure will also be completed. Among other things, he stressed that it will serve as a professional networking platform for Albanian surgeons and will enable the exchange of clinical experience, scientific publications, the creation of joint projects between hospitals and universities in the field of surgery, as well as many other activities.
President of the Senate, Prof. Dr. Kenan Ferati, underlined the importance of creating a joint database within the College as a platform that would allow surgeons to store their scientific work, while offering researchers and professionals a reference point for research and professional information in the field of surgery.
It was also stated at the meeting that, in addition to its professional aspect, in the future the College should create a network between surgeons and students, assisting them with research projects and the development of their careers.
