Today, second-year students of the Faculty of Arts, specifically from the Graphic Design study program of the University of Tetova, led by their professor, Lecturer, Valmir Aziri, carried out a study visit to the “Poliyesterday” printing house in Skopje.

During this visit, students had the opportunity to closely learn about the full production process in a professional printing house, including the preparation of printing materials, the handling of digital files and their standardization according to relevant technical requirements (formats, resolution, and the use of color spaces such as CMYK and Pantone), as well as the execution of printing on industrial equipment.

As part of the visit, the students were introduced to the differences between the main printing techniques, such as offset printing, digital printing, and flexography, as well as their application depending on the print run, material, and purpose of the final product. Special attention was also given to the packaging process, including structural design, material selection, die-cutting, folding, and product finishing.

The students were also informed about the prepress stage, which includes image processing, calibration and color correction, proofing, and the preparation of printing plates. Furthermore, the importance of quality control at every stage of the production process was emphasized, from the initial proof to the final product.

In continuation, the students were introduced to the practical aspects of print project management, including communication with the client, interpretation of the creative brief, and collaboration between designers and printing operators, with the aim of achieving optimal results.

This study visit is an important component in advancing students’ professional training, contributing to the integration of theoretical knowledge with practice and preparing them for the challenges of the labor market in the field of graphic design and the printing industry.
