The third year students of the study program Finance and Accounting, on December 19, 2019 conducted a study visit to the National Bank of our country. Students on this visit were represented by Mr. Sc. Vjollca Hasani Limani, teaching assistant of the course Banks and banking affairs. According to her, the purpose of the visit was to familiarize students with the activities, functions, policies and projections developed by the National Bank of the Republic of North Macedonia in order to maintain the country’s macroeconomic stability, with particular emphasis on price stability, interest rates, exchange rate and inflation.
“The main topic that was discussed is “The monetary policy of the National Bank of RNM and the latest macroeconomic indicators”, led by Dr. Rilind Kabashi, Director of Research Department. During the visit, the students had the opportunity to get acquainted closely with representatives of the National Bank leadership, as well as to visit the Historical Museum of the National Bank, where they were introduced to the governors over the years. From the archeologists engaged in the National Bank, students gained first-hand information about the history of money development and the evolution of forms of financial transactions on the territory of Macedonia, from antiquity to this day. During the visit in the museum, the students closely watched the exhibits of the forms of money, bronze, silver, gold and paper that were used in Macedonia all the time ”,- said Vjollca Hasani Limani.
