The Ambassador of Kosovo in North Macedonia, Gjergj Dedaj, today visited the University of Tetova and held a meeting with the Rector of UT, Prof. Dr. Vullnet Ameti, where they discussed various topics, with special emphasis on developments in higher education and cooperation between relevant institutions in the field of education and science.

Rector of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Vullnet Ameti, thanked the Ambassador of Kosovo, Gjergj Dedaj and expressed his gratitude for the contribution given over the years by well-known intellectuals from the Republic of Kosovo for this institution.

“I expressed our gratitude and thanks for the extraordinary support, the contribution given over the years, since the founding of UT, by professors of the University of Prishtina who have been in various fields that have been of interest to the units our academics. Their work has been a strong foundation for the establishment and overall institutional building of our University. Therefore, our gratitude for our brothers from Kosovo has been and will remain permanent”, said Prof. Dr. Vullnet Ameti.

The Ambassador of Kosovo, Gjergj Dedaj expressed his consideration for the well-functioning of the University of Tetova and as such makes a valuable contribution to the general developments in the country and beyond.

“Dear Rector, let me thank you for the friendly reception in your institution, just as I want to thank you for the good and fraternal treatment of our sons and daughters, students of your university. This institution already well-known in the region provides a direct contribution to the education of hundreds of young people from Kosovo and their professional training. These cadres who graduate from your university make a direct contribution to the statehood of the Republic of Kosovo. I also want to underline the very correct cooperation that you have built with public and private universities from our country and in this way you as universities with joint participation in various international projects have strongly contributed to higher education and scientific research”, declared the ambassador of Republic of Kosovo in our country, His Excellency Gjergj Dedaj.

After the meeting, the Rector of UT, Prof. Dr. Vullnet Ameti and the Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo in our country, Gjergj Dedaj visited the monument “Beacon of Remembrance” and the statue of the first Rector of UT, Prof. Dr. Fadil Sulejmani, as well as exchanged symbolic gifts with each other.
