A delegation from the Embassy of the Republic of Austria to our country, headed by the consul of this embassy, Gabriele Janezic, today stayed at the University of Tetova. They were initially welcomed by the Rector of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Vullnet Ameti, with whom they discussed on various topics related to the latest developments at the University of Tetova and the possibilities for future cooperation. Particular importance was also given to the Austrian Corner, which has been open for three years at the University of Tetova and is the result of successful cooperation between the University of Tetova and the Austrian Embassy in the Republic of Macedonia. After this meeting, the Rector of UT Prof. Dr. Vullnet Ameti, along with the consul, Ms. Gabriele Janezic, visited the Austrian Corner, located in the premises of the University of Tetova and jointly promoted a considerable amount of books, which were donated to the Austrian Corner by the Austrian government.
Consul, Mrs. Gabriele Janezic said that cooperation with the University of Tetova so far is excellent and that the Austrian Corner will formally be part of the Austrian Foreign Ministry. “I am very happy to be here today at the University of Tetova. I’m here for two reasons: the first reason is the donation of books for students and professors of the German department, while the second reason is that I want to share with you the news about the formalization of the Austrian Corner at the University of Tetova which is now part of the Foreign Ministry of Austria”- said Gabriele Janezic.
Rector of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Vullnet Ameti, thanked the Embassy of the Republic of Austria for its support in various forms to the University of Tetova. “In my name and in the name of the University of Tetova I would like to thank the Embassy of the Republic of Austria. It is a pleasure to have among us, the consul, Mrs. Gabriele Janezic, with whom we jointly promote books, which are donated to the Austrian Corner at the University of Tetova. Our university will continue this excellent cooperation with the Austrian embassy even in the future. I would also like to thank all Austrian diplomats who give their contribution to our country by helping the different political processes” – stressed the Rector of UT, Prof. Dr. Vullnet Ameti.
In sign of recognition of the continued contribution and support that the Austrian Embassy gives to the University of Tetova, the Rector Prof. Dr. Vullnet Ameti, to the consul Mrs. Gabriele Janezic, gave the portrait of the founder, the First and Historical Rector of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Fadil Sulejmani.
