A chess tournament was successfully held on July 2, 2025, at the University of Tetova, organized by the Workers’ Union of the UT, with the participation of 30 staff members from the university’s academic and administrative units.
The tournament was held in a sporting atmosphere, conveying the spirit of competition and cooperation between colleagues. The matches were played in seven rounds, following the Swiss system.
After the completion of all rounds, the winner of the tournament was Prof. Bekim Sulejmani. second place went to Prof. Sahmedin Saliu, and third place was claimed by Mr. Nizam Xhemaili.
Special prizes were awarded to the top three winners, while all participants were honored with certificates of appreciation as a gesture of respect and recognition for their participation and contribution to this event.
The award and certificate ceremony was conducted by the organizing committee, which included Mr. Florian Nesimi, Prof. Shefket Dehari, Mr. Ali Salihi, and Mr. Ramadan Osmani.
This sporting activity is part of the Workers’ Union ongoing efforts to promote collaboration, well-being, and social connection among the employees of the University of Tetova.
