Vice-Dean for Science at the Faculty of Food Technology and Nutrition aof the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Erhan Sulejmani, has concluded a two-week study visit to the People’s Republic of China, where he participated in the international seminar “Enhancing Investment Promotion Capacities for Belt and Road Countries”. The activity took place from April 2 to April 15, 2026, and was organized by the AIBO Academy under the Ministry of Commerce of China (MOFCOM).
During his stay in major cities such as Beijing, Hangzhou, and Yiwu, Prof. Dr. Erhan Sulejmani became acquainted with advanced practices of Chinese modernization, focused on innovation and development. One of the key moments of the visit was a stop at the headquarters of the technology company Zhejiang Dahua Technology, where the concept of “Smart Classroom” was presented to him. This system includes the use of artificial intelligence to monitor attendance and IoT technologies for the efficient management of academic environments, showing strong potential for implementation at the University of Tetova as well.
The visit to Yiwu, known as one of the largest global trade hubs, provided insight into the development of smart logistics and international trade networks. He also visited Lizu Village, a successful example of rural transformation, which has evolved from an underdeveloped area into an important cultural and innovative center for young entrepreneurs.
Prof. Dr. Erhan Sulejmani emphasizes that the University of Tetova remains committed to expanding international cooperation, especially with Chinese institutions, in areas such as digital agriculture and technology transfer.
This visit was carried out within the framework of strengthening international cooperation and aligns with the vision of the “Belt and Road Initiative” to build stronger connections through education, science, and economic development.
