The Rector of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli, welcomed today the renowned artist Zake Prelvukaj – one of the most important figures of contemporary visual art in Kosovo and beyond in the Albanian-speaking regions. During this friendly meeting, they discussed the importance of promoting art and culture within academic spaces, as well as the possibilities for collaboration on joint cultural and artistic projects.

During this meeting, the Rector of the UT expressed his gratitude for the contribution of Ms. Prelvukaj in enriching the Albanian cultural heritage and emphasized the readiness of the University of Tetova to support initiatives that strengthen the links between art and higher education. Meanwhile, the artist Zake Prelvukaj expressed her satisfaction with the positive atmosphere at the University of Tetova, thanking the Rector for the hospitality and interest shown in art and culture.

After this meeting, the Faculty of Arts organized a discussion between students and the renowned artist and university lecturer at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Prishtina, Zake Prelvukaj, at the “Europe House” spaces.

This discussion is part of the ongoing cultural and academic activities organized by the Faculty of Arts, aimed at strengthening the dialogue between established artists and students. The Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Professor, Senad Abduli, regarded this discussion as an inspirational moment for the students, offering them a direct encounter with the life and work of a successful artist, as well as an opportunity to create new bridges of communication between established artists and the new generation of creators.

The Vice-Dean for Science, Professor, Nora Halimi, as the promoter of such initiatives, emphasized the importance of these meetings, which enable students to gain a deeper understanding of the challenges and commitment required in artistic creation, bringing them closer to the professional reality of art through authentic narratives of figures who represent professionalism and dedication in the field of visual arts.

The Faculty of Arts remains committed to creating such spaces that encourage cultural and academic development, foster artistic and cultural dialogue, and contribute to building a more sensitive and engaged society through art.
