Rector of the University of Tetova, Prof. Dr. Jusuf Zejneli, together with the Vice-Rector for International Relations, Prof. Dr. Salajdin Salihi, held an official meeting with the Rector of “Necmettin Erbakan” University, Prof. Dr. Xhem Zorlu, accompanied by Prof. Dr. Firat Yaldiz, General Coordinator for International Affairs, as well as the Director of the “Maarif” International Schools in the Republic of North Macedonia, Mr. Osman Demirgül.
During the meeting, a range of issues related to higher education were discussed, including contemporary challenges and expectations for the future. The parties emphasized the importance of universities’ roles in promoting modern academic values, enhancing the quality of teaching and scientific research, and strengthening the international dimension of higher education.
Special focus was placed on the possibility of student and academic staff exchange, cooperation in the field of scientific publications, and the publication of professors’ research papers in international journals and newspapers. In addition, discussions were held on organizing mutual academic visits and developing joint projects, with the aim of deepening institutional cooperation between the two universities.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties expressed their readiness to intensify inter-university cooperation and to take concrete steps toward the implementation of joint initiatives for the benefit of students, academic staff, and the overall development of higher education.
